This is what it's about.

USFirst runs a group of robotics competitions in four leagues for students ranging in age from 6 years old through their senior year of high school. And as the children grow, so do the robots from small robots made from Lego Technic parts weighing a couple of pounds to ten foot tall metal machines weighing close to 150 pounds. Whatever the age whatever the size USFirst has a robotics league for you.

• First Lego League (FLL for ages 9-14) small sophisticated Lego Robots and Project
• First Tech Challenge (FTC for high school students) Medium Robots out of metal
• First Robotics Challenge (FRC for high school students) the big bots
